History
From 1890 to 1900:
A group of young Italians, all coming from "Brissago", a small village located in northern Italy, Province of "Varese", near the "Lago Maggiore", moved to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in order to find a job. Among that group were, Archille Giorgetti, his cousin, Francesco Giorgetti and Francesco’s younger brother, Eustache Giorgetti. Soon after their arrival, Achille and Francesco founded the first Giorgetti company in Luxembourg.
1901:
Due to the premature death of Francesco Giorgetti in 1901, Achille Giorgetti continued the company on his own.
1911:
In 1911, Eustache Giorgetti joined Achille Giorgetti’s company. He was a directive foreman in construction of prestigious buildings like the ARBED’s head office "avenue de la Liberté", in Luxembourg City.
1937:
In 1937, Eustache Giorgetti founded his own construction company in Bettembourg.
1946:
In 1946, Eustache Giorgetti’s sons, Félix & Paul, joined the company that needed to be setup again after destruction of world war II. Father & sons founded the company "Eustache Giorgetti & fils, S.e.n.c." and took an active part in reconstructing our country.
1957:
Eustache Giorgetti retired and entrusted the company’s management to his sons.
1968:
Paul Giorgetti died in 1968 and Félix Giorgetti ran the company for his own.
1979:
For heritage reasons, the company „Eustache Giorgetti & fils, S.e.n.c.“ is dissolved and Félix Giorgetti and his wife Jeanne Theisen took over the whole business which continued under the name of Félix Giorgetti.
1986:
Marc & Paul Giorgetti, Félix Giorgetti’s sons, started working in the family business.
1991:
Félix Giorgetti and his wife Jeanne Theisen, founded the company Félix GIORGETTI S.à r.l., which is still today the head company of the whole Giorgetti group.
1992:
Due to huge expansion, the company needed more office space and moved in its new office building located at the Cloche d’Or in Luxembourg City. That building was the first substantial real estate project realized by the company in order to be kept in its renting portfolio. That was a very important strategic decision for future development of the whole company group.
1996:
Félix Giorgetti died in 1996 and the leadership of the company was entrusted to Marc and Paul.
2002 - 2003:
During that period, important legal and management decisions were taken in order to set up a company’s structure that hopefully will be corresponding to expectations of further development.
