Personal data

Users’ personal data collected on the www.gio.lu website is for the purposes of Félix Giorgetti S. à R.L.

Collecting data in this way enables us to:

◦    reply to information requests submitted to the website by users,

◦    send marketing information from the editor to email addresses provided by users, only if they have given their prior consent or when authorised by current legislation,

◦    compile general statistics relating to website viewing figures with a view to improving them.

All users have the right to access, amend and remove any of their personal data.

They can exercise these rights by contacting the editor (address details on this page).

To make it easier to exercise these rights, site users can unsubscribe by clicking on the “unsubscribe” links found in any email sent by the website.

Users who have created their own personal account in order to search for a new property should refer to the “MyGio” section for more details.

This is a personal right that can only be exercised by the person concerned with respect to their own information: in the interests of security, the editor must verify their identity in order to prevent any of their confidential information being communicated to another person.

The editor may pass on the user’s information to a third party for marketing purposes, provided that the user has given their consent on the form they completed when registering as a user.

Fields in the registration form marked with an asterisk are required. If they are not completed, the editor will be unable to accept the user’s request for information or registration.

The editor may also collect data about how the user uses the website; for example, which pages were visited, which services were used, etc., so as to better understand the user’s expectations and to improve the overall running of the site.

“MyGio” personal space

The email address and password chosen by the user when they set up their own account are personal and confidential. Should the user wish to change them, they can simply log in and access their “MyGio” space, where they will be able to amend any of their details.

Félix Giorgetti SARL may however consult the products and services that appear in the user’s personal space and study them in order to better determine their expectations and needs.

When users log in to their personal space, a cookie is installed on their computer to enhance their overall browsing experience. Users who would prefer not to have cookies installed on their browser should see the “cookies” section in these legal notices.

Users who no longer wish to use their personal account space on www.gio.lu, can delete it from the homepage of their personal space (they will need to log in to access this). Once an account is confirmed for deletion, it will no longer be possible to change any personal data held online.

Cookies

Félix Giorgetti SARL uses data storage cookies. These are files transferred onto the user’s computer, but which cannot be used to identify the user. Cookies record information about how the computer browses the site (which pages are viewed, time and date of viewing, etc.) and can extract this information the next time the user logs on to the website so as to personalise their browsing experience. This data is stored on the user’s computer for 20 minutes per browsing session.
