Description
The wildlife passage structure is a crossing structure 70 ml long and 53 ml wide.
The two spans will be constructed using composite decks made of metal beams and reinforced concrete.
Our teams began laying the 19 beams 42 m long and weighing 72 tonnes each over the weekend of October 25-27.
During a second weekend from October 31 to November 3 the remaining beams were put in place.
The laying of coated joists (74 pieces HEB700) for the span above the future Luxembourg-Bettembourg railway line will begin in mid-November. The 2 spans must be concreted before making the embeddings at the level of 3 supports.
Then, our teams will take care of the landscaping on the structure and its surroundings. Side screens on the banks of the structure, plantations of shrubs of several species, sowing meadows, creating ditches, wetlands and making a swath of wood and rocks.
