LOT A3: PREPARATORY WORK
Work dates: 2014-2015; 213 days
Work done:
Diversion of the Diddelengerbach, with two DN 2,500 pipes bored under the A13 motorway and two others under the railway line
Diversion of the STEP (wastewater), EP (rainwater), SES (drinking water), Créos (gas) and P&T (telecommunications) networks
Expansion of entrance to CFL’s Bettembourg marshalling yard
Construction of a Mabey-style temporary bridge 850 m retaining wall
Shifting of railway lines and digging of underground tunnel in Bettembourg marshalling yard (work done in 60 continuous hours over one weekend):
• Digging of a 16 m underground tunnel below the railway line
• Length of the track shifted: 750 m and a level crossing
• Replacement of the drainage
• Demolition of the old overhead line masts
• Construction of overhead line foundations
LOT B: EARTHWORKS AND DRAINAGE
Work dates: 2014-2015; 249 days
