O.A. 900 - Pont Bvd Kockelscheuer à KOCKELSCHEUER

Description

OA 900 comprises 2 x 2 lanes dedicated to road traffic, 2 tram lanes, pavements and cycle lanes. It will provide a link between the new Ban de Gasperich district, and the roads from Leudelange and Bettembourg.

This means it will become a main point of entry into the capital.

The bridge comprises two abutments and three piers, which will support a mixed structure with a total length of 135 m and a width of 27.3 m.

The frame will be installed in four sections. Kamag will transport the first three sections with the motorway closed. The fourth section will be built on site.

The first section is installed on Friday, 24 August and the second is installed on Saturday, 25 August. Work on the third section is carried out on Friday, 31 August 2018.

Each section weighs some 400 t, comprising the metal frame (200 t), permanent formwork and other components (200 t).

Once the sections have been installed, the welding works take place, followed by reinforcement works on the apron until concreting. The works are taking place in several stages and include night work.

  • The finished bridge will have the following characteristics:
  • Lowest height: 5.23 m
  • Max. longitudinal slope: 6%
  • Constant cross slope: 2.5%
  • Horizontal radius of curvature: 449.75 m
  • Longitudinal radius of curvature: 1,000 m
  • Metal frame weight: 800 t
