Rangwee II Tunnel

The Rangwee II tunnel between Rue des Scillas and the Gluck roundabout in Howald will open soon..

Between the Glück roundabout and the Rue des Scillas, the Rangwee II tunnel took its place alongside its elder brother in April 2021. More than a year and a half after the two 2,500-tonne frames were driven under the CFL railway tracks, the work carried out by Félix Giorgetti for the Ponts et Chaussées is now complete. The temporary connection to the Glück roundabout and the asphalt have been completed, and the acoustic boxes have been installed.

The 30 m long and 13 m wide structure will soon be delivered to our client for use in the next few months.

As a reminder, the Rangwee II tunnel was built as part of the redevelopment of the Rue des Scillas in Howald, with the aim of improving traffic flow in this rapidly changing area. The area is undergoing major development, including the construction of a high-performance multimodal hub to promote public transport.

A new step will therefore soon be taken towards better mobility at the gates of the capital.
