Maison Melu Reinvents the Codes of Urban Living
A new chapter is being written at 51, Avenue de la Gare. After several years of construction, the address has welcomed Maison Melu since early September, a new concept that is redefining the codes of urban living in the heart of Luxembourg City.
From studios to 170 sqm apartments, Maison Melu offers six types of “move-in-ready” accommodation, for stays ranging from one night to one year. The experience combines the sophistication and freedom of high-end hospitality with the comfort of a true home: fully equipped kitchens, optimised workspaces and exclusive services.
Everything has been designed to make residents’ everyday lives easier and more enjoyable: a welcoming café, fitness room, breakfast service, Melu’s Market, laundry facilities and cosy inner courtyards.
The project also introduces a modern vision of coliving, with spacious two- to four-bedroom apartments, each featuring a private bathroom.
A major technical challenge
Behind this exceptional living environment lies a major technical challenge that began in 2021: demolition works, preservation of a listed heritage façade under the protection of the National Heritage Institute, supported by a bespoke stabilisation system, and excavation through extremely hard rock.
This transformation is yet another example of the expertise of the Félix Giorgetti teams, who combine heritage preservation, contemporary architecture and new ways of living at the heart of Luxembourg.
