A prestigious project in the heart of the capital
The Félix Giorgetti and Kuhn Construction are preparing to build an exceptional project for the City of Luxembourg in the heart of Luxembourg City: the construction of a majestic footbridge connecting the districts of Weimershof, Neudorf, and Cents.
With a usable width of 4.50 meters and a total length of 200 meters, this structure, entirely dedicated to soft mobility, will provide a harmonious space for pedestrians and cyclists. On the Cents side, the footbridge will connect to Rue Tawioun, while on the Weimershof side, access will be via Rue des Bleuets.
Its architecture — designed by the urban planning and architecture firm STDM — is based on a suspension bridge concept, featuring a single pylon positioned north of Rue Neudorf. This gives the structure an airy silhouette and remarkable visual transparency.
From Neudorf, the bridge will be accessible via an elevator tower reaching a total height of 66 meters, offering an immersive experience thanks to its cantilevered glass floor and a cabin equipped with a west-facing glass wall, revealing a breathtaking panorama of the city.
Completion is scheduled for 2027.
