A housing estate without cars

In Esch-Lallange, Félix Giorgetti built the Altena Domain a housing estate made up of 9 apartment buildings and 18 houses with Italian inspiration and without cars ...

This project, located in Esch-Lallange, in the triangle formed by the Salvador Allende estate, the boulevard Grande-Duchesse Charlotte and the route de Luxembourg, was carried out in several phases, and is recognised for its Italian inspired architecture.

The estate stands out in two ways: there is no traffic there since parking and access are via a common underground car park, and it is the first construction labeled “ecogio”, the concept of low energy consumption buildings by Félix Giorgetti.

As well as the construction project, Giorgetti also worked on the renaturation the Dippach watercourse and the installation of a roundabout at the of Esch-Lallange church.
