GioRun celebrates its 7th edition under the sign of solidarity
For this 7th edition organized on June 19 by the Giofriends, GioRun once again delivered on its promise: nearly 1,000 participants and 80 volunteers came together in a shared spirit of generosity, for an evening centered on solidarity at the Félix Giorgetti Logistics Center.
GioRun is no ordinary race: it's where sport meets charitable commitment, in a friendly atmosphere. Year after year, runners and walkers, driven as much by the desire to push their limits as by the wish to support a good cause, come together in a shared spirit of solidarity.
The race got underway after a group warm-up, cheered on by a large crowd gathered along the route. Three formats were on offer for the route through the forests and fields of Leudelange: 289 runners on the 5 km course, 428 on the 10 km course, and 98 participants in the 2 km solidarity walk, open to all.
Families were also taken care of: Villa Pipoo looked after the children for the evening, offering free childcare and dedicated activities so parents could fully enjoy the event.

An eco-responsible event
We are proud to be a race committed to the environment. Organization, communication, refreshments, catering and equipment: every detail is designed to limit our environmental impact, reduce waste and favor short supply chains. This year again, we encouraged sponsors, associations, participants and visitors to join this approach, with waste sorting implemented across the entire site and an incentive to use public transport to get to the event.
