A 400-space P+R in Mersch
In recent years, the town of Mersch has experienced a significant demographic growth. For this reason, the CFL has launched important initiatives in favour of mobility, including the construction of a 400-space park and ride, right next to the train station.
The structure built for the CFL is 125 m long and 30 m wide and extends over 5 levels. It is composed of a mixed structure with three reinforced concrete cores and a metal framework with collaborative panels. The last level is equipped with a green roof and photovoltaic panels.
The façade is covered with gold and anthracite expanded metal panels. The station, located a few steps away, will be directly accessible via a tunnel.
This turnkey project also includes the construction of a waterproof concrete sprinkler basin and a 2.5 m diameter, 60 m long retention canal in front of the car park entrance for rainwater collection.
